Craving a Tigger Tail but aren’t in a position to jet over to Pooh Corner? Don’t worry, this copycat recipe has got you covered! Learn how to make Tigger tails at home that are just as good (if not better!) than the ones you get at the happiest place on earth!

What is a Tigger Tail?
Besides being my favorite treat at the park, tigger tails are marshmallow treat wands dipped in caramel and coated in orange-flavored white chocolate with a drizzle of dark chocolate to mimic tiger stripes. They are ONLY sold at Disneyland Resort in CA; no other Disney parks have them, and most of the time they can only be found at Pooh Corner, a delightful shop and treat counter right off of the “Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” ride.

What You’ll Need to Make Tigger Tail Treats:
- Marshmallows: Not jumbo. Not mini. Just regular!
- Treat sticks: I prefer the 8-inch for these treats, so you have plenty of control over dipping.
- Caramel: homemade or store bought
- Orange zest
- White chocolate candy melts: I prefer Ghirardelli! (not sponsored)
- Orange oil based food coloring: it MUST be oil based. If not, your candy melts with seize and be unusable! My favorite oil-based food coloring is linked in the shopping list below; the colors are so vibrant and a little goes a long way.
- Dark chocolate candy melts: again, Ghirardelli is the way to go imo!
Here’s your shopping list; you’ll just need a fresh orange in addition!
Helpful tools:
- Cookie sheet with cover
- Parchment paper
- Treat bags

How to Make Tigger Tails
- Make the wands: Thread 4 marshmallows onto a treat stick, with the first marshmallow going about 2/3rds down the stick and the last marshmallow ending at the top of the stick. Place marshmallow wands in a food safe container or ziploc bag and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
- Prep: Prepare a cookie sheet by lining with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Caramel: prepare your caramel. Make from scratch using your favorite caramel recipe (cook until about 240F), OR melt down your store bought caramels over low heat until the caramel easily drips off of a spoon. Add in the orange zest and stir until well encorporated.
- First coat: Working quickly, remove the caramel from heat and fetch your chilled marshmallow wands. Spoon a thin layer of caramel over the marshmallows, dripping off the excess. Try not to get melted marshmallow into the pot of caramel. Place marshmallow wands on parchment lined cookie sheet to set.
- It’s chocolate time: Once set, melt your white chocolate candy melts by following the melting instructions on the bag. Once melted, add in your OIL BASED orange food coloring and stir, adding coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Second coat: Spoon the “orange” chocolate over the caramel covered marshmallow wands. I HIGHLY recommend spooning the chocolate and not dipping it, as you can easily lose marshmallows and caramel in the chocolate.
- Let rest: Once the chocolate is evenly spooned over, gently tap the wand stick on the edge of your container to get as much excess chocolate off. Place marshmallow wand back onto the parchment lined baking sheet. Repeat until all marshmallow wands are coated in the orange chocolate.
- Add your drizzle: Once the chocolate has set, melt your dark chocolate candy melts by following the melting instructions on the bag. Drizzle over the top of the set chocolate to mimic tiger (or Tigger ;)) stripes. Allow chocolate to set then serve!

How to store Disneyland Tigger Tails
Here’s a breakdown of how to store them:
- Room Temperature: Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
- Refrigeration: Store in an airtight container for up a week.
These treats are bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy fun fun fun fun fun! Perfect for Disney-themed parties, Winnie-the-Pooh baby showers, or just a little pick-me-up. They’re guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. So, go ahead, embrace your inner child, and get your marshmallow on! You deserve a little magic in your day. TTFN!
