Take your Sprite to the next level by adding–or accentuating–more flavors. Hop on the Utah Soda trend and give one of these soda recipes a go!

The “Utah Soda Culture” has taken the nation by storm. Made “famous” by soda shops like Fiiz and Swig, and widely broadcast on TikTok from a certain Hulu show, mixed sodas have become A THING. Don’t live near one of these iconic shops? No worries. Make your own at home with one of these amazing Sprite combos!

My first year of college was in an extremely small one-stop-light town. My roommate introduced me to a little soda shack and I quickly became a regular. While I am very much so a Diet Coke/DP kind of a girl, I was totally hooked on the pina colada Sprite (#2 below)!

Now I’ll be honest. I’m not the biggest Sprite drinker. And if I happen to drink Sprite, it’s gonna be Sprite Zero (Little Miss Insulin Resistant over here, thanks to PCOS). BUT legit all of these combos have me reaching for Sprite as my soda base!

  • 1 can Sprite
  • Juice from 1/4 of a lime
  • 1/2 pump grape syrup: I prefer sugar free, but regular can be used
  • Ice: to taste
  • 1 can Sprite
  • 1/2 pump coconut syrup
  • 1/2 pump pineapple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Coconut Cream: I prefer Coffee Mate Coconut Creme Coffee Creamer!
  • Ice: to taste
  • 1 can Sprite
  • 1/2 pump coconut syrup
  • Juice from 1/4 of a lime
  • Ice: to taste

4. Spritely Temple

  • 1 can Sprite
  • 1/2 pump cherry syrup or Grenadine
  • 1-2 maraschino cherries
  • 1 Tbsp Cream: Use half and half or heavy whipping cream
  • Ice: to taste

5. Spriteberries & Cream

  • 1 can Sprite
  • 1/2 pump strawberry puree
  • 1 Tbsp Cream: Use half and half or heavy whipping cream
  • Ice: to taste

7. Pink Sprite

  • 1 can Sprite
  • Juice from 1/4 of a lime
  • 1/2 pump strawberry OR raspberry syrup
  • Ice: to taste
  • 1 can Sprite
  • 1 Tbsp fresh grapefruit juice
  • 1/2 pump mango puree
  • Ice: to taste
  • 1 can Sprite
  • 1/2 pump peach syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Cream: Use half and half or heavy whipping cream
  • Ice: to taste
  • 1 can Sprite
  • 1/2 pump coconut syrup
  • 1/2 pump raspberry puree
  • Ice: to taste
  • 1 can Sprite
  • Juice from 1/4 of a lime
  • 1/2 pump cranberry syrup
  • Ice: to taste

Follow these directions for all of the combos above!

  1. Scoop your desired amount of ice into your cup of choice.
  2. Add soda.
  3. Add in any fruit juice/purees. If using fresh fruit, add the wedge to the cup when you are done adding the juice.
  4. Add syrup(s).
  5. If using cream or creamer, add in here.
  6. Give it a stir.
  7. Serve!

PRO TIPS

  • Cute cups make your drink taste better. This is a fact.
  • When pouring your soda, try pouring with the glass at an angle. I have found that this helps the fizz/carbonation to fizzle down more quickly.

Recommended Tools

  • Cup: Glass or stainless steel to keep your precious cold!
  • Pebble ice: you can buy bagged pebble ice from Sonic and Chick Fil A! The ice maker on our fridge broke awhile back, so we got a counter top pebble ice maker. BEST PURCHASE EVER. We use it multiple times a day!
  • Juicer: I use my hand juicer ALL the time…and not just for making fun sodas! It’s amazing the difference freshly squeezed citrus can add to your cooking!
  • Syrups & purees: I can usually find a decent selection at my local World Market and Smart and Final. I’ve also put together an Amazon list for easy shopping! I have found that Torani and Syruvia have the best flavors/selections. If you have others you like, let me know in the comments what you’ve found!

Make Your Own: Mixed Soda Ratios

The possibilities are seriously endless with making your own mixed soda! Here are some easy ratios to get you started:

  • 1 can soda of choice
  • 1 can soda: 1/2 pump puree or syrup
    • if using multiple flavors, consider doing 1/4 pump of each flavor as to not overpower the drink
  • Juice from 1/4 of a citrus
  • 1 Tbsp coconut cream, vanilla cream, or half & half/heavy cream
  • Ice ice, baby!
